About this course

DELE AND CCSE EXAMS

ELE USAL Alicante is an examination centre for DELE and CCSE (nationality exams). Registration for these exams, DELE and CCSE, must be done through the website of the Instituto Cervantes. It is a simple process: Click here.

From Monday to Thursday, between 12:00 and 16:00 you can come to ELE USAL Alicante to register for either of the two exams (DELE and CCSE).

 

About the CCSE exam (nationality)

The CCSE exam, also known as the nationality exam, is the official test of Constitutional and Sociocultural Knowledge of Spain. Passing this exam is necessary to obtain Spanish nationality.

Before taking the CCSE please note that:

  1. The Instituto Cervantes provides you with the exam syllabus. Remember that the test will consist of 25 multiple-choice questions (all of which are taken from the syllabus), of which you will have to answer 15 correctly. You will have 45 minutes to take the exam. In 2019, 97% of candidates passed the exam.

About the DELE exam

Before taking the DELE exam, please bear in mind that:

  1. It consists of four tests: reading, listening, writing and speaking. You will take the first three tests on the morning of the exam day together with the other candidates. For the oral test, you will be called on the same day in the afternoon, or at some time the day before or after the exam. In fact, ELE USAL ALICANTE will send you a notification one week before the day of the exam with the time and address where you will have to sit the four tests.
  2. There are six levels: A1, A2, B1, B2, C1, C2; level A1 being the easiest and C2 the most advanced. Level A2 is the level required to obtain the Spanish nationality if you are a resident and Spanish is not your native language; therefore, to obtain the nationality Hispanic-American applicants do not have to take the DELE exam.
  3. ELE USAL ALICANTE organises courses to prepare for this exam with case studies. Therefore they will help you to become familiar with the type of exam; (more information about these courses)

The DELE Spanish diplomas are official qualifications accrediting the degree of proficiency. They are awarded by the Instituto Cervantes on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport.
